Call for Papers – ‘Ethnomusicology Ireland’ Issue 6

Ethnomusicology Ireland, the online journal for ICTM Ireland, solicits articles for publication in its sixth (2018) edition. The journal, which employs a thorough peer review process, has just announced a new editorial board consisting of Jaime Jones (editor), Aileen Dillane (deputy editor), Méabh Ní Fhuartháin (reviews editor), and John Millar (technical editor).

Reflecting the range and mix of academic interests of ICTM Ireland’s membership, Ethnomusicology Ireland welcomes articles considering both regional and international themes and from all relevant disciplines. The journal is now also open to reviews of those books, conferences, websites, sound and visual recordings that would be of interest to our readership.

Articles are typically between 5 and 7k words in length, and we particularly welcome those that are augmented by short video and audio examples, photographs and other illustrations. Ethnomusicology Ireland is published once a year under the auspices of ICTM Ireland. Membership is not a prerequisite for publication.

Our next edition is scheduled for completion in November 2018. Articles that are not reviewed and publication-ready by October, or for other editorial reasons, may be considered for inclusion in the following edition.

The deadline for 200 word abstracts is 31st December 2017; completed articles must be received by 1st July 2018. Please visit the ICTM Ireland website to view past issues and for further submission details:
