MA Scholarship at DkIT

DkIT invites applications for the following position:

MA Scholarship (Full-time: at least 24 months)

Dundalk Institute of Technology is a dynamic, world class Institute that has developed an international reputation in both basic and applied research through its Research Centres.

The Section of Music within the School of Informatics and Creative Arts is recognised internationally for developing and publishing innovative research in a range of areas including Irish traditional music.

The students will work as part of a world-class research team within the Section of Music, developing links with stakeholders involved in music, business and tourism in the surrounding Oriel region. Following success in attracting grant income through the IOTI Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme, the Section of Music wishes to attract a postgraduate researcher interested in examining the potential for Irish music and tourism in the Oriel region.

Applications are invited from graduates interested in undertaking postgraduate research in the area of music and tourism and applications are welcome from a wide range of areas and disciplines relevant to music and tourism  Applicants should have a minimum of a 2nd Class Honours Degree (or equivalent) in music or related disciplines. The studentship will include a monthly stipend and payment of fees.
